PROGRAMS

At Colorado Christian Academy, we believe in more than just strong academics—we believe in developing the whole child, rooted in Christ. Every aspect of a student’s day is designed with intention, purpose, and prayer, nurturing not only their minds, but also their hearts, character, and relationship with Jesus.

We hold students to high standards while offering the support they need to succeed. We use research-based, mastery-focused curricula that challenge students to think critically, explore deeply, and grow in confidence.

We also recognize that young minds need movement, balance, and time to absorb what they’re learning. Our daily schedule includes intentional breaks, outdoor exploration, and opportunities for physical activity, giving students the mental space they need to fully engage and retain new concepts.

Structure and consistency are key. Each day follows a thoughtfully designed rhythm that provides children with a sense of security and predictability, allowing them to focus on learning and thrive in the classroom.

We believe in developing a wide range of skills beyond core academics. That’s why we’ve built Flex Fridays into our week—an exciting time for students to explore creativity, hands-on learning, practical life skills, and cross-grade collaboration. Whether it’s cooking, robotics, gardening, service projects, or art, students are exposed to meaningful experiences that stretch their thinking and expand their world.

And through it all, the golden thread that ties every part of our school together—the heartbeat of CCA—is Jesus Christ.

Every decision we make—from our curriculum and classroom structure to our daily schedule and selection of teachers—is grounded in prayerful consideration. Our greatest desire is for each child to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and character, becoming more like Jesus in both heart and mind.

At CCA, every child is known, loved, and encouraged to grow—academically, spiritually, and socially. We are committed to preparing students not only for school, but for a Christ-centered life.

PreSCHOOL and PreKINDERGARTEN

Our team is dedicated to providing a nurturing, faith-based environment where each child feels valued, supported, and excited to learn. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, encourage creativity, and support each child’s unique gifts. We also incorporate biblical principles to help guide social and emotional growth in a meaningful, age-appropriate way.

Our Preschool/PreK program, whether you choose the 3-day or 5-day option, will be filled with engaging, hands-on activities across a variety of subjects, including:

  • Phonograms: We use Literacy Essentials so children discover the sounds and letters that form words, setting the stage for early literacy. We use phonogram activities, songs, and games to support phonemic awareness and language development.

  • Math: We use the Singapore Math curriculum to guide early math skills, including number recognition, counting, and problem-solving. Along with this structured curriculum, we incorporate manipulatives that make learning math interactive and enjoyable.

  • Science: Our science activities in the Pre-K 4 classrooms align with the phonogram of the week, helping students connect language and scientific exploration. From simple experiments to observing nature, they will explore God’s creations and learn about the world around them, sparking curiosity and introducing foundational concepts.

  • Bible Curriculum: Our Sparkhouse Frolic curriculum provides students with engaging, age-appropriate Bible stories and activities. Each week, we focus on a new Bible story that teaches key values and helps children understand God’s love. Lessons incorporate singing songs, storytelling, and prayer time, all centered around developing faith and character.

  • On Wednesdays, we have Chapel, a special gathering that includes all students from preschool through 2nd grade. This is a wonderful time for our school community to come together to worship, sing, and reflect on meaningful Bible stories. Families are warmly encouraged to join us in this uplifting experience!

  • Our goal is to create a joyful and enriching experience for each preschooler, fostering a positive Christ-Like environment where lasting memories are made.

KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten at CCA is an opportunity for your child to love to learn. The program presents materials and concepts that leverage the enormous learning capacity children of this age possess. By intentionally, focusing on the rewards and benefits of learning, students flourish, and become self motivated to learn. Learning becomes the fun part of school!

Every week our kindergartners are challenged, engaged, and supported with love and encouragement. They focus on mastering reading and math in the mornings and then shift to co-curricular learning stations in the afternoon.

On flexible, Fridays, they do kindergarten appropriate projects, field trips, and excursions in conjunction with the rest of the school, which builds confidence by applying their gained academic and social skills. The best time to invest in your child’s education is in this early learning and foundational development phase. We believe our kindergarten program is one of our major strains and that it is capable of setting students on a lifelong trajectory for resilience and success.
